Sculpture: BodhiTrees
Creating with polymer clay is easy. Just shape and sculpt.
Although is has bit “toxic smell” for my preference. When is heated it the smell is not pleasant.
Some people use a separate oven to bake but I have double oven and one is dedicated to baking clay. another technique is to cover the piece with aluminum foil so the smell won’t “come out ” .
I open ALL my window and baking very early in the morning so the smell goes away by the time that everybody is at home; Set the oven and fans leave the room go outside to do gardening while is baking. When they come out of the oven the results are beautiful, they just need finishing and mounting .These trees are inspired in the tree of life.
There is a recipe for natural non toxic clay saw it somewhere on a website, will be using it as a trial for my pieces. then we’ll see if the quality is about the same as the commercial.
