Multi-grain Sticks

Creativity is the mother of invention... our family  dared to try my fried dough invention and they and the agreed totally that they will eat again this  Yummy Multi-grain Sticks .

Here is the result of daring to try new stuff ; A easy recipe that  you can enjoy as an appetizer or snack

Whole wheat flour 1 cup
Unbleached wheat flour 2 cup
Flax seed flour 1/4 cup
Rye flour 1 cup
Oatmeal 1 cup
Boiling water 1 1/2 cup
Almond milk 1/2 cup
Coconut oil  3/4 cup
Salt 1 teaspoon
Sugar 2 tablespoons

boil water

Add the salt to the water and Boil.
While the water is boiling go ahead and
 mix all other dry ingredients.

Take the water off  heat,
add the almond milk and coconut oil.

Add the liquid ingredient to the dry mix.
use the mixer with the flat beater attachment as shown.
If you don't own a mixer
it can be blend  by hand.
But I simplified my life investing
 in a high quality mixer

Use 1/2 cup Oatmeal to roll the sticks
avoiding them to stick into your hands  in your hand.
make a small ball that fit in the palm of your hand
form it into a stick.
Fry with the oil of your choice.
For mine I always use coconut oil.

Let them cool off a little use a napkin or a strainer

to allow  them to drain the excess of oil
Drizzle with honey and
sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.

Went outside to create the display
for the picture of the multigrain sticks,
found this beautiful flower in my garden
Decided not to use the flower
on the picture keeping it neutral with only the weeds .

So delicious Enjoy them  now as a snack or
save them for later they last a day outside the fridge.
